Indoor coil
Has to be replacedYour existing R-410A coil cannot stay. American Standard states it directly: an R-410A evaporator coil cannot be used or converted with R-454B, and the R-454B coil has to be factory equipped with a mitigation control board.
Not checked: your own coil against this unit. That needs its model number, which is on the coil label inside the air handler or furnace cabinet.

Can stay, with conditionsSometimes — and the trap here is the opposite of the one people expect. American Standard rates its R-454B units on *smaller* copper than R-410A, so the risk is that the line you own is too big rather than too small.
- The vapor line is the rated size for your tonnage or one of the listed alternates.
- The liquid line is 5/16 inch or the approved 3/8 inch alternate. A 1/2 inch liquid line is not approved at any tonnage.
- The run is inside 150 equivalent feet, and inside the vertical limit for the machine: 150 feet with an air conditioner above the indoor coil, 50 feet with a heat pump above it.
- The connection is checked separately from the size: copper of the right diameter can still be the wrong fitting.
Not checked: your line size. The 5A7A3 uses 5/16" liquid with 3/4" or 7/8" suction, by capacity, and you have not measured the outside diameter of both copper lines.

Can stay, with conditionsYour furnace is not replaced, but it does not come away untouched: a new factory-supplied wire harness runs from the detection system in the coil to the furnace and has to be connected in the field.
- The new wire harness between the coil's refrigerant detection system and the furnace is connected on site.
- Your furnace has to be one the harness can be connected to. The bulletin does not list which furnaces those are.

What the documents say about this model
ManufacturerThe family's product data sheet gives a rated line size for each of the seven capacities. The liquid line is 5/16 inch at every size. The vapor line is 3/4 inch at 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 tons and 7/8 inch at 3.5, 4 and 5 tons. Every size runs on single-phase 208/230 volt power, and every size is charged to a specified 10 degrees of subcooling.
ManufacturerThe sheet prints the service valve connection and the rated line size as two separate rows, and on this family they carry the same number at all seven capacities — 3/4 inch through 3 tons, 7/8 inch above it. Reading the line size off the fitting on the condenser happens to give the right answer here. It is a fact about this family rather than a rule to carry: the brand's own sheets for the 5A7A4 and the 5A7A5 print rows that disagree at some sizes.
ManufacturerThe footnote against the line size row gives a standard line length of 150 feet and a standard lift of 50 feet on suction and liquid line, and sends the installer to American Standard's refrigerant piping software for anything greater. The same footnote is printed on both specification pages. This is the family's own figure rather than the brand's tonnage-indexed one, and it is not a number every sheet in this range publishes.
ManufacturerA-weighted sound power runs 71, 71, 73, 73, 73, 71 and 71 dB(A) from 1.5 to 5 tons. The three middle sizes — 2.5, 3 and 3.5 tons — are the loudest in the family, and the 4 and 5 ton are two decibels quieter than they are. A bigger unit on this family is not a louder one, which is the opposite of what most people assume when a quote goes up a size.
ManufacturerThe factory charge runs 2 lbs 15 oz, 2 lbs 12 oz, 3 lbs 2 oz, 2 lbs 15 oz, 4 lbs 11 oz, 4 lbs 15 oz and 5 lbs 5 oz from 1.5 to 5 tons. It does not climb in order: the 2 ton leaves the factory with less refrigerant than the 1.5 ton, and the 3 ton with less than the 2.5. Anyone working out a charge adjustment for a reused line set has to start from the figure for their own size rather than from the tonnage.
