Nothing on this site approves an equipment combination for your home. Only the licensed contractor who signs your installation can do that.

What this site does

It reads published manufacturer documents and regulatory rules, states what they say, and links back to them with the date they were read. Where a manufacturer has published nothing, the page says so rather than guessing.

What it cannot do

• It does not know your house: line lengths, static pressure, duct sizing, electrical supply and local code all change the answer.
• It does not know whether a document has been revised since it was read. The date on the page is the honest limit of what we can promise.
• It cannot certify a combination. Certified pairs are listed in the AHRI directory under a reference number; ask your installer for theirs.

Refrigerant safety

R-454B and R-32 are A2L refrigerants: mildly flammable. Refrigerant work is for EPA-certified technicians with the right equipment. Do not open, charge, recover or vent a refrigerant circuit yourself, and do not treat anything here as instructions for doing so.
